A character with more to give.
The guide to creating reusable mascot performances.
Create a Presenter performance
- Create a mascot project and upload your character as PNG or WebP. A full-body transparent reference works best.
- Write the speech and describe expressions, gestures, and movement. Speech is optional for silent performances.
- Choose a voice using the gender filter and recorded samples. Select the spoken language and an optional accent direction. Write your script in that language; accent directions vary by voice.
- Add audio tags such as [thoughtful], [excited], or [whispers] directly in Speech. Highlighted tags direct delivery and are excluded from the spoken-word limit, though pauses and reactions take time.
- Choose duration, resolution, and aspect ratio. Seedance 2.5 supports 4–30 seconds; Seedance 2.0 supports 4–15 seconds. The form shows the exact credit reservation.
- Generate your performance. You can leave the page while it processes. Completed clips appear in your project and asset library.
Build your Web Presence
Begin with a base idle animation. Upload a transparent VP9 WebM or generate a neutral looping idle from your mascot reference. Capture the first frame as your canonical pose, then create actions using the presets.
Actions start from that canonical reference and, by default, return to idle. Each action has a website trigger such as success, error, welcome, or celebrate. You can also define custom triggers.
Download the idle and action videos to integrate into your own website. The MVP provides the media and trigger mappings. A public browser SDK is future scope.
Transparent outputs for your workflow
Finished performances use WebM with VP9 and alpha metadata. Preview them on a checkerboard, light, dark, or custom background. The preview background is never part of the WebM download.
Use them in Hyperframes, Remotion, a compatible video editor, or your website. Download WebM saves the same processed file shown in the preview. View raw opens the original generation separately.
Download MP4 exports that same processed performance with a white, black, or custom solid background. MP4 preserves the video dimensions and audio, but does not preserve transparency. Choose WebM when you need to layer the mascot over other media.
MP4 conversion runs in your browser without additional credits. Keep the export window open until the download starts; you can cancel at any time. Use the latest desktop Chrome or Edge for MP4 export. If your browser cannot encode the video or preserve its audio, the export shows an error and WebM remains available.
Some desktop players decode the video but ignore its alpha channel, revealing the green background underneath. The file still contains transparency. Use one of the following options to preview it:
- Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox on desktop. Play the studio preview or drag the downloaded WebM into the browser. Use the studio's checkerboard or custom background to see the transparent areas clearly.
- OBS Studio for a desktop preview over other media. Add the WebM as a Media Source above a Color Source or another scene source. Leave "Use hardware decoding when available" off for this preview.
Playing a WebM and displaying its transparency are separate capabilities. For editing, choose an editor with WebM alpha import support.
Credits and billing
Credits are reserved when you generate. The application consumes the reservation once the transparent output is saved. Technical or provider failures release the reservation automatically. You can cancel a queued job before processing starts.
Buy additional credit packs or subscribe for recurring credit grants. Subscription credits arrive after each successful payment. Purchases and subscriptions use Polar's hosted checkout and billing portal.
One project, both modes
A mascot project stores your reusable character identity. You can create Presenter clips and Web Presence actions in the same project at any time.
